June 10, 2008: WAVC Annual Invitational Golf Skills Challenge

Improve your golf skills at the newly-opened Siebel Varsity Golf Training Complex. Adjacent to the Stanford University Golf Course, this nearly 30-acre facility was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. to be the finest practice center in the country. The center features six short game areas that re-create famous greens designed by Mackenzie, Ross, Dye, Fazio, RTJ II, and Tillinghast. Every conceivable short-game shot can be practiced from a variety of grasses as well as uphill/downhill/sidehill lies. Full shot practice can take place from tee blocks or to a variety of holes.

We'll be joined by a host of distinguished golfers, including:
  • Stanford Men's Golf Coach Conrad Ray (ranked #1 in the US in 2007)
  • Stanford Women's Golf Coach Caroline O'Connor (ranked #5 in the US in 2007)
  • PGA Teaching Pro Josh Zander (voted one of California's top 50 instructors by Golf Digest)
